A New Age of Space Requires A New Approach to Spacecraft Mechanisms

Facilitated by the Mechanical Engineering Senior Design course and sponsored by Lockheed Martin Space, our team of ten designed and built a deployable helical antenna. Intended to prove the capability of our novel design, the project included rigorous testing including vibration, shock, and RF testing of our functional antenna.
